This is mostly just to tell you that as of Monday I'll be at camp. With no laptops. D: I nearly spazzed when our teacher said they weren't allowed..
I'll be back on Friday though so yeah, thought I'd let you know.

Also I'm still trying to find a name for the "Curtain calls my name" picture's character.. yeah the girl with the wings. She's become weirdly powerful in my head and I'm thinking she needs a name. Any ideas?

oh.. and the Year 10 Semi-Formal was last night.. ohh hell xD where do I start? It started about five weeks ago buying dresses. I ended up with this nice black dress, originally strapless but my boobs just ain't that big enough so I made the lady put straps on them. They keep breaking though so that's annoying.
Then shoes.. oh man. I got these black strappy heels with diamantes on them, really nice and not too high (I COULD WALK IN THEM!!!). However by the end of the night my feet were killing me. They still are.
Hair - just straightened. Nothing spectacular.
Makeup - THIS was interesting. I tried foundation for the first time. It was my mum's old stuff, she was going to throw it out because it was too pale for her now (she tried it and it made her look sick) but since I'm getting pale (D: I NEED A TAN) Bonnie - who was staying over and therefore helping us all get dressed - suggested I try it. So I did, and it matched my skin perfectly. So I tried it on and dude.. you should have seen the faces. Bonne and Jess started screaming "OH MY FUCKING GOD YOU LOOK LIKE A GIRL!!! THERE'S A FEMALE UNDER THERE SOMEWHERE!!! WE FOUND AN ACTUAL FEMALE!!!!"
My mum just looked stunned. xD
Then, of course, just a good lot of eyeliner and a dab of lipgloss from Bonnie which thankfully rubbed off when I grabbed those canapes they were serving as we walked in.
Oh, and my nails were red.. lots of fuss over that. I'd been growing my nails for about three weeks (I still think they weren't long enough..) and painted them the night before. Toenails also red. Uploading photos later.

Day of formal - this was hilarious. It was a Friday, so I still had half the day (our mother got permission from the school to take us out at lunchtime) but in the end I only ever went to the first double period of English all day - and in that we were watching a movie.
Then - you would never believe it - we got sent back to the boarding house because there was an outbreak of headlice!!!! I laughed my head off. I was one of the few people clean of lice, but I still got treated anyway, and in the end I just stayed in the boarding house and bummed around til lunchtime while they continued treating all of the other girls in Kirkwood. It was just amazing that this had happened the day of the formal, I laughed so much.

The night was interesting. After the fuss of us all getting ready, we picked up Jess's date (me and Bonnie had opted to stay single for the night and adopt a coke bottle instead - no regrets) and got going. Jess's date was her best guy friend Luke, he's pretty funny and amazingly he'd managed to pick out his suit so the tie was the same blue colour (well, close) to Jess's dress.

We got there and spent about half an hour chitchatting with people before dinner. Me and Jess ended up doing a poor Year 9 kid a favour (the year 9's were waitressing that night) and ate her entire platter of prawns when she told us her back was killing her from carrying it artound. Luke thought we were nuts - the kid thought we were saints. No regrets..

Dinner was hilarious. Luke kept trying to keep a straight face, and watching him try to keep a straight face just made me laugh my ass off which made HIM lose control and start laughing.
Then the photos.. oh my god.. this was gold. We had a couple of nice ones, then the funny ones. Me and Bonnie did this whole "since we're both single we're therefore partners so rraow" thing invloving suggestivbe faces and poses, then Jess put on this pair of angel wings and I put a platic sword over her throat - angelic twin, evil twin. Then the Coke bottle - a two-litre empty coke bottle I took off our table. A few poses with it (described by the photographer as "coke advertisements!!") and then more with Bonnie since we were sharing. my mum had this whole "she's not my daughter!" moment during that xD
Then we took a few photos with my mum and we were done.

After that we just sat outside chatting and being idiots with Luke, Bonnie, Jess and a guy who randomly sat down with us called Levi. He was funny too, and not too bad. Okay, he totally hated me for loving MCR but other than that he was pretty nice.
The funniest part was when we ended up talking about MLIA, and I told them the one where a guy told a blonde the joke "tell a blonde a joke on friday, she'll get it on saturday" and the blonde actually didn't get the joke. Guess what - Jess didn't gert it, and she's blonde. We laughed for ages until I managed to blurt out "IT'S FRIDAY NOW!!" - so now we're all waiting for her to get it today..

Then of course we went home at about 11, tired, knackered but otherwise pumped. It was fun.
And once again, no regrets xDD
